Bunn Riley Biography

Bunn Riley is a Surinamese professional bass player, music director and producer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Bunn Riley started touring professionally and internationally with his fathers band The Dutch Rhythm Steel and Showband after that, the journey continues touring world wide with his own backing band Redemption and as a freelance bass player for world-famous artists and bands such as The Original Wailers (Junior Marvin), Ky-Mani Marley, The Mighty Diamonds, Culture, Eek A Mouse, Mr Vegas, Konshens, Brinsley Ford (Aswad), Alison Hinds, Taj Weekes, Chezidek, Gyptian, Bitty McLean, Wayne Wonder, Derrick Morgan, Olatunji, The No Maddz, Meta and the Cornerstones and many more.
Bunn Riley’s bass playing signature is steady and heavy. In 2016 Otentic Guitars made for him the 5 strings Otentic Guitars Jazz Bass Bunn Riley signature, made to Bunn Riley’s specifications. The several styles of music Bunn Riley plays are Reggae, Ska, Rock Steady, Soca, Kaseko, Calypso, R&B, Jazz and many more.
In his own professional home recording studio Bunn Riley dedicated space for recording and producing, it’s a space equipped with the necessary tools and technology to capture audio and convert it into a professional finished product, such as an album or single. Bunn Riley work as producer for other musicians, some examples include: Taj Weekes, Papa Touwtjie, Myal Soul, Rude Rich and the High and The High Notes and many more
In 2006 Bunn Riley have launched his own record label Jahmanti Records to gain more creative control, independence, and ownership over his music.
